Seymore Duncan and Burstbucker pickups significantly elevate the guitar’s tonal thickness, in my opinion. While the Probuckers in the Epiphone 50’s and 60’s models are an improvement over years past, they sound a little thin compared to the clarity and fullness found in the Burstbuckers. The slim tapered neck profile on the Epiphone 60’s Les Paul is more comfortable for small hands even with what feels like broad shoulders. A neck profile comparable to the Gibson Les Paul Classic might be just the right feel.
